Sandy Skoglund
Revenge of the Goldfish
Sandy Skoglund's photography is really interesting. It's weird, but I like it. I find it very unique how she builds up these rooms and then takes pictures. The colors are vibrant. I've never seen artwork like this before. Revenge of the Goldfish and the one in the top left are my favorite, I like the way she pulls people into her photos.
Charles Sheeler
Untitled (Electric Power Plant, New Bedford, Massachusetts)
Sheeler's photography seems to be mainly of buildings, factories, etc. His photos are really boring to me. I like and dislike it. I dislike it because I don't really find interest in it. I like photography that seems to have a lot of imagination put into it. I like it because he does take really nice shots and gets a lot of different angles that people probably never seen.
Annie Leibovitz
Johnny Depp
Annie Leibovitz takes a lot of pictures of celebrities. She gets great shots of them. Even though it looks like a simple picture, there's something about it that makes it interesting. Same with the rest of her photography with other music artists or actors. Annie seems to get a perfect shot of them in a moment. Like here, Johnny Depp looks as if he's in thought or something.
Alfred Stieglitz
The Street - Design for a Poster
I like Alfred's photography. Black and white pictures are my favorite. Most black and white pictures I've seen by him look a little creepy or sad to me. In the picture on the left, it just looks like an empty town and lonely. I like the scenery also, with the snow everywhere. It also looks nice in his other photos with the snow laying on the trees.
Andy Goldsworthy
Leaves and hole
I don't like Goldsworthy's photography. I find it boring, every photo I've found of his are of rocks. This is the most interesting I found because he took leaves and made this. Some of his other work is kind of cool, he has a weird design with his shots of nature. One thing I do like about this though and his other photos is that he picks out really nice sceneries. They really are unique though, it seems that he goes out and makes things out of nature to make his shots more eyecatching instead of just plainly taking pictures of rocks, walls, and leaves.
